BRE-AUT significantly improves quality control and meets the requirements of both ASTM E-10 and ASTM E-103 Standards. The ASTM E-103 method of measurement can result in up to 85% reduction in total test time compared to the traditional E-10 method and it removes the possibility of operator measurement errors. The hardness result is given by the difference in penetration depth between the preload and the test load and is converted by the microprocessor to display the Brinell Hardness Result Automatically on the digital readout display.

Automatic In-Line Operation:

BRE-AUT significantly improves quality control and fulfils the BRE-AUT automatic measurement ensuring process control of the production line. The electronics of the BRE-AUT hardness tester can be directly interfaced via USB to any memory stick or PCL5 enabled printer. The box is conceived to accept up to two optional communication modules to interface the machine with external equipment through MODBUS TCP, PROFIBUS, RS232 serial, etc. communication protocols, for the remote management of the hardness tester with start and stop cycle commands, status request, etc.; reception of measured hardness test values, date and time of the test, etc

Reliability:

BRE-AUT is equipped with a test point reference system to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the results even under the most critical test conditions

Safety:

Ernst’s patented safety system eliminates the risk of injury by retracting the test head as soon as it comes into contact with soft parts (e.g. the operator’s hand) or incorrectly positioned workpieces.
